Brett Baris / Chief Executive Officer & Co-FouNDER
Brett is the chief executive officer and co-founder of Credibility Capital. Brett has been a venture capital investor for 17 years. As a partner at IA Capital, he has focused exclusively on the financial technology space and has followed the evolution of marketplace lending. Brett holds a B.A. in Economics, magna cum laude, from Tufts University and an M.B.A from Columbia Business School.
Mark Rambler / President, Chief Operating Officer & Co-Founder
Mark is the president, chief operating officer and co-founder of Credibility Capital. Previously Mark was a vice president with the Fortress Investment Group Credit Funds. Prior to Fortress, he was transactional counsel at another credit opportunities fund and an associate with a corporate law firm. Mark holds a B.A, cum laude, from Princeton University and a J.D., magna cum laude, from Duke University School of Law.
John Birge / Chief Credit Officer
John is the chief credit officer of Credibility Capital. Previously he spent 14 years at American Express where he held multiple leadership roles in Small Business Risk Management. He led the U.S. Small Business Originations Team and was directly responsible for underwriting more than $1B in new lending annually. Prior to joining Credibility Capital, John was chief credit officer at Bread Finance and chief risk officer at marketplace lender CommonBond. John holds a B.A., magna cum laude, in Mathematics from Holy Cross and an M.S. in Mathematics from Cornell University.
Brian Starke / Chief Technology Officer
Brian Starke is a veteran engineer who was most recently principal engineer at Bread Finance, a point-of-sale lender for merchants, and was responsible for building the loan origination platform. He previously worked at Google as a Public Alerts and Crisis Response engineer, integrating emergency information into Google search results and providing crucial data to area affected by national disasters. Starke was an initial member of the iSocket team, which built the largest independent real-time trading platform for the buying and selling of advertising, and was acquired by Rubicon Project.
Stuart Freiman / Chief Financial Officer
Stuart Freiman is the Chief Financial Officer at Credibility Capital, responsible for overseeing accounting, financial analysis, planning, and tax. Previously, Stuart was the Chief Financial Officer and a principal at Rothstein Kass, P.A., where he was responsible for all financial and related areas, and contributed to the growth of the firm from $68mm in revenue to $185mm. Prior to Rothstein Kass, he was a partner at JH Cohn LLP. Stuart holds a BA in economics from Muhlenberg College and an MBA in accounting from Rutgers University Graduate School of Business. He is a Certified Public Accountant, and a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Alexy Scholl / Sr. Vice President, Risk Management
Alexy Scholl is Credibility Capital's Senior Vice President of Risk Management. Previously, she spent 11 years at American Express in various risk and underwriting roles, most recently as Director, Acquisitions and Underwriting setting underwriting policy and risk criteria for internal acquisitions. Alexy holds a B.A. in Business Economics and History from Brown University.
annubha parmar / Vice President, Risk Management
Annubha Parmar is Vice President of Risk Management. Most recently, Annubha was the Decision Science Manager at First Data Corporation, responsible for end-to-end risk strategy for US merchants and developing the risk platform using SAS and SQL. Prior to First Data, Annubha was at American Express in a variety of credit risk roles, including overseeing the profitable growth of the Indian commercial credit portfolio and managing credit risk strategy for network partners in the European markets. Annubha graduated from Delhi University with a B.A. in Economics and Anna University with an M.S. in Financial Economics.
