Brett Baris / Chief Executive Officer & Co-FouNDER
Brett is the chief executive officer and co-founder of Credibility Capital. Brett has been a venture capital investor for 17 years. As a partner at IA Capital, he has focused exclusively on the financial technology space and has followed the evolution of marketplace lending. Brett holds a B.A. in Economics, magna cum laude, from Tufts University and an M.B.A from Columbia Business School.
Mark Rambler / President, Chief Operating Officer & Co-Founder
Mark is the president, chief operating officer and co-founder of Credibility Capital. Previously Mark was a vice president with the Fortress Investment Group Credit Funds. Prior to Fortress, he was transactional counsel at another credit opportunities fund and an associate with a corporate law firm. Mark holds a B.A, cum laude, from Princeton University and a J.D., magna cum laude, from Duke University School of Law.
Dennis Carlson / Chief Risk Officer
Dennis is the Chief Risk Officer of Credibility Capital. Most recently, he was Head of Consumer and Small Business Credit at Verizon, responsible for the origination of more than 20 million loans to consumers and small businesses annually. Previously, he served as Deputy Chief Economist at Equifax. He also led several data science and modeling teams at both First Data and American Express. He graduated valedictorian from the University of Florida with a B.S. in Mathematics and Statistics and studied post-grad at Cornell University.
Jordan Schiffer / head of engineering
Jordan Schiffer is Head of Engineering at Credibility Capital, responsible for developing the company’s fintech platform. He is a veteran engineer who was most recently Director of Technology at ADP Ventures, the arm of one of the largest providers of business processing and cloud-based solution, focused on incubating new business growth initiatives within the company. At ADP, where Schiffer established an innovation lab to combat competitive threats, he designed and implemented front-end and full-stack applications. He holds a number of patents, as well as a B.A. from The Johns Hopkins University.
Stuart Freiman / Chief Financial Officer
Stuart Freiman is the Chief Financial Officer at Credibility Capital, responsible for overseeing accounting, financial analysis, planning, and tax. Previously, Stuart was the Chief Financial Officer and a principal at Rothstein Kass, P.A., where he was responsible for all financial and related areas, and contributed to the growth of the firm from $68mm in revenue to $185mm. Prior to Rothstein Kass, he was a partner at JH Cohn LLP. Stuart holds a BA in economics from Muhlenberg College and an MBA in accounting from Rutgers University Graduate School of Business. He is a Certified Public Accountant, and a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Alexy Scholl / Sr. Vice President, Risk Management
Alexy Scholl is Credibility Capital's Senior Vice President of Risk Management. Previously, she spent 11 years at American Express in various risk and underwriting roles, most recently as Director, Acquisitions and Underwriting setting underwriting policy and risk criteria for internal acquisitions. Alexy holds a B.A. in Business Economics and History from Brown University.
