Brett is the Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Credibility Capital. Brett has been a venture capital investor for 17 years. As a partner at IA Capital, he has focused exclusively on the financial technology space and has followed the evolution of marketplace lending. Brett holds a B.A. in Economics, magna cum laude, from Tufts University and an M.B.A from Columbia Business School.
Mark Rambler / COO & Co-Founder
Mark is the President, Chief Operating Officer and Co-Founder of Credibility Capital. Previously Mark was a vice president with the Fortress Investment Group Credit Funds. Prior to Fortress, he was transactional counsel at another credit opportunities fund and an associate with a corporate law firm. Mark holds a B.A, cum laude, from Princeton University and a J.D., magna cum laude, from Duke University School of Law.
John Birge / CCO
John is the Chief Credit Officer of Credibility Capital. Previously he spent 14 years at American Express where he held multiple leadership roles in Small Business Risk Management. He led the U.S. Small Business Originations Team and was directly responsible for underwriting more than $1B in new lending annually. Prior to joining Credibility Capital, John was Chief Credit Officer at Bread Finance and Chief Risk Officer at marketplace lender CommonBond. John holds a B.A., magna cum laude, in Mathematics from Holy Cross and an M.S. in Mathematics from Cornell University.
Brian Starke / CTO
Brian Starke is a veteran engineer of the NYC startup community. Most recently, Starke was Principal Engineer at Bread Finance and was responsible for building their loan origination platform. He previously worked at Google on the Public Alerts and Crisis Response teams integrating emergency information into Google search results and providing crucial data to areas affected by natural disasters. Starke was also part of the iSocket team in NYC before their acquisition by Rubicon Project and inexplicably holds a BFA in Culinary Arts.
Jill Herbert / CMO
Jill Herbert is the Chief Marketing Officer of Credibility Capital Inc. Prior to joining Credibility Capital, Jill was the Vice President of Digital Marketing and Customer Experience at American Express, responsible for leading the development and execution of innovative marketing strategies that drove trial, engagement and loyalty. In her 11 years at American Express Jill marketed various products and services across Consumer Card, OPEN, Prepaid products and Global Merchants Services. She holds a B.A. from Cornell University and an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School.
Andrew Lerner / Interim CFO
Andy is Interim Chief Financial Officer and Board Member of Credibility Capital. He serves as Managing Partner of IA Capital, a venture capital firm focused on the financial technology space. Andy holds a B.S.E from Princeton University and an M.B.A from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
